Perú‏

Peru (Spanish: Perú) or Peru or officially the Republic of Peru (Spanish: República del Perú) is a country in western South America. Bounded on the north of Ecuador and Colombia, on the east and south-east Brazil, Bolivia, Chile and south of the West Vttal on the Pacific.

Peru area was home to the Norte Chico civilization, one of the oldest civilizations in the world, followed by the Inca Empire the largest state in pre-Columbian America. Spanish Empire conquered the region in the sixteenth century, and announced that a subsidiary of the Spanish crown. After independence in 1821, Peru has seen periods of financial crises and periods of stability and economic prosperity and political unrest.

Peru representative democratic republic divided into 25 regions. Varied geography of the country from the arid plains at the Pacific coast to the peaks of the Andes Mountains and the tropical forests in the Amazon basin. A Human Development Index scores and high poverty level up to 34%. Their main activities include agriculture, fishing and mining industries and economic (fabric, for example).

Peru has a population of 29.5 million multiracial population. Includes a mix of ethnic Americans and Europeans, Africans, Asians, Indians. The main language used is Spanish despite the fact that a significant number of Peruvians speak Quechua or other native languages. This mixture of cultural traditions has led to a wide variety of fields such as art, cuisine, literature and music.
